Jesse and I had a fantastic breakfast at the hotel.. the bacon tasted a little funny, the scrambled egg was a bit cold.. the pancakes were amazing – Jesse took some in a doggy bag for morning tea
um.
At the airport we were able to find a travel adaptor – this is fantastic news.. Jesse is certainly picking up the language more than me.. and also noticing the language more than me.. he’s trying more too, which is good, I think it seems less rude if we actually try.
It is fricken cold
It’s not too cold that its uncomfortable – except that there is heating indoors, like everywhere, and it’s like 10 degrees outside, so moving between the two is a little intense – jacket on, jacket off, jacket on, jacket off.
One thing we have noticed – most of the cars either look like recent models, or are in very good shape.. we’ve only spotted one or two ‘bombs’
There is a surprising amount of asians here in Japan. ![]()
Anyway – we are now on a super long train trip halfway across the country.. the train is more comfortable than the plane.. so far we have been lucky with English, it’s almost everywhere.
