Ohhh my god. I am so bloody excited, I don't even know where to start!! I guess I should start at the beginning of the day :)
I will try and place photos kinda where they belong - not too many today, Jesse isn't very pleased with photos so please excuse too much of my grinning face.
Jesse and I woke up at Dad's.. random weird emotions unsure whether to be excited or anxious or worried or excited.. anyway, here is me being all cheerful and Dad halfway through the Jet Star jump!
Dad made sure he frightened us before we left.. 'make sure the engines are all good', 'I think there are some storms up north'.. We checked in at Coolangatta Airport which was all fine and dandy, grabbed ourself a meal.. Jesse doesn't like photos of himself while he's eating but apparently I don't mind :D
Jesse bought 2 litres of Vodka in the duty free store for when we return and we moved onto the plane.. this part was so super exciting..
Anyway - thank GOD Jesse bought the online entertainment thingy, we were both given these cool video pad thingy ma joobys that had movies and TV shows - I have no idea how we would have survived the flight without them.. I watched umm.. Despicable Me - not too shabby - then some Burn Notice, some Bones, anyway you get the drift it was awesome. Jesse watched Salt as it was more to his taste - I think when we are old and wrinkley we will have to look into this 'TV screen each' thing, so I can watch my cartoons and he can watch his grown up shows..
As we were nearing Japan, the sun started to set.. I didn't get a super awesome photo of the sun setting but I did think the horizon looked quite pretty here.

Just as the plane started to land, the Japanese girl in front of me said hello and started talking.. I told her I was concerned that I didn't wanna appear rude and apparently she reckons as long as we just smile it will all be good, and that a smile means the same thing in every culture. I liked that advice very much.
Here we are after getting off the plane..
We cruised through Immigration and Customs with no dramas.. and then while Jesse was taking a leak some Police dude comes up to me and asks for my passport... apparently just a random check, whew, I told him it was my first time to Japan and he struggled and replied "Welcome to Japan" with a humungous grin.. people tend to smile a lot here it seems :) Then I bought a cigarette lighter for 100 yen.. wooh, and this woman, I could tell was friendly, but she didn't speak a word of English and I just found myself smiling, nodding, and using phrases like "Thank you. Thank you".. *shrugs* she was lovely.
Then we got to the Hotel.. and though Jesse's excitement was previously overshadowed by worry and ear-pain from the flight, he perked up and we bounced on through Reception and into our room. On that note, the two of us are both sick to death of filling out forms. :)
We found our first vending machine and bought a Pepsi Max each... went down for a smoke and stopped at the convenience store.. and lo and behold.. we grabbed a beer each for 180 yen (like.. $2.. omg).. and its one of those big-size cans.. aaand I got a pack of 20 smokes for 440 yen (like $5.50?) - you beauty.
And here is a crazy Christmas themed hotel behind my boyfriend. ![]()
Apparently the internet at this hotel isn’t ‘free’ so I’m fucking off.. over and out.
